Speaking of Tattoos

I finally have some pics of my own tattoo to share!! Let me know what you think! The tattoo artist said I had the perfect skin for tattooing, clear, smooth, and pasty white. LOL

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted! In the last month my tattoo has stopped itching and is now perfect just like I new it would be. I've leased a new 'car' it's a Mazda5, a micro-van. I love it! Finally a car that fits me and still has tonnes of storage room. Son seems to like it too. It's a lovely silvery colour and has auto-everything. It's fabulous.

I've been trying to be more focused on my Reiki and am feeling much better for it. I am starting to get a sense of calm and peace in my life again. Keeping myself grounded and calm helps a lot.

Spooky is soooo cuddly lately. Well, really ever since he became an 'only cat.' He seems to love having 3 humans paying attention to him with no other cat to share the affection with. I'm getting more cuddles and snuggles from him than I ever have before. It's a wonderful thing. Even better is the fact that Rowan is also loving being an 'only cat' in a one person home. She has all the attention she needs and is back to being the Princess.

Itchy!

I was finally able to get my tattoo done last Thursday, May 3rd. I LOVE it! It is so lovely, the dragon is purrfect, the shading is great, the colour used is exactly what I wanted. I wonder a bit if i should have gone a bit bigger, but I can't change it now. ;)

I will be completely happy with it once it heals. Right now I'm at the itchy, Itchy, ITCHY stage. The tattoo didn't ever scab over, which is good, but it did develope a protective layer of skin which is now peeling off like a sunburn. I'm so glad that it is on my back so that I'm not quite as tempted to dig in my nails and scratch it. The lotion helps it feel better, but I still want it to finish with the itching part!

As soon as it is healed I will have Hubby take a pic and I'll post it.

Hopefully...

Here's hoping that this time I actually get my tattoo done!!! First the tattoo artist got sick, then I came down with a bad case of laryngitis and I had to cancel. Finally I'm better and I got the confirmation phone call yesterday about the appointment Thursday. I can't see anything going wrong this time!!!

I can't wait to see the drawing, I'm hopeful that it will be as good or better than the picture in my mind.

Laryngitis

I really wish I didn't know what this felt like!! I was doing fine last week about the time I should have been getting my tattoo, but within a few days my voice started going. Monday I went to the doctor and found out Laryngitis and have to rest my voice for a week. No work for a week by Doctors order, and limited talking at home. If I talk too much I will relapse.

I can feel my voice starting to get better. In the mornings it sounds pretty good, but by the evening it doesn't sound quite so good. But at least I have a voice now. By the end of a full day at work Tuesday my voice was trashed.

My tattoo was rescheduled for May 3rd, I really hope I have a voice by then. :)

No Tattoo Tomorrow

I got a call today from the tattoo artist saying that he is too sick to do my tattoo tomorrow. He sounded very rough on the phone and I really don't want to get another flu so I'm just as happy to wait till he is feeling better. At the same time I'm sad to not be getting my tattoo when planned. I was really looking forward to it. He said I could get it done either this weekend or next weekend, so it won't be much of a wait. I hope!

Planning for the Future

Seriously though, I went in today for my tattoo consultation. I brought in my dragon pictures and a picture of Son's birthstone to give them an idea of what I wanted. The consultation was pretty quick Jesse seemed to be on the same wave length as me for how it should look and how to incorporate the stone into the picture. I go in on April 11th to see his drawing and get the tattoo. I am VERY excited about this!!! I have been wanting a dragon tattoo for ages and have wanted to incorporate something that refers to my son since I was pregnant with him. It will be very kewl me thinks *GRIN*

My tattoo will be mostly black & grey with highlights of blue and purple on the dragon and green for the stone. Here are some "small" versions of the pics I left with the tattoo artist:
