#amazonfail takes over twitterville

I've been watching all the fun with the #amazonfail posts on twitter and I really have to wonder what is going on. By now there should have been a full press release from Amazon stating thier case and letting everyone know what is going on. Instead they are insisting that it is a "glitch" in the system even though authors of de-ranked books were sent emails stating that it was 'new policy.'

Amazon has recently changed their ranking system in a way that censors our reading choices. Amazon seems to be stripping the sales figures and accompanying rankings from GLBTQ books, erotica, and romance novels, particularly those with what they term “adult content.” The result of this is that those books are no longer found during a search on Amazon.
